Established in 1994, CEEC is composed of eighteen national, membership-based organizations representing Americans of 
Armenian, Belarusan, Bulgarian, Czech, Estonian, Georgian, Hungarian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Polish, Romanian, Slovak, and Ukrainian descent.

This policy seminar on Sep 27, 2017 examined the execution, outcomes and aftermath of Russia's large-scale Zapad military exercise. Guest speakers: were Ambassador Kurt Volker, Special Representative for Ukraine Negotiations; Stephen Blank, American Foreign Policy Council Senior Fellow for Russia; Eitvydas Bajarunas, Ambassador-at-Large for Hybrid Threats, Lithuanian MFA; and Alex Tiersky, Global Security and Political-Military Affairs Advisor, U.S. Helsinki Commission. The Coalition Moderator was Mamuka Tsereteli of the Georgian Association in the U.S.A. Karin Shuey of the Estonian American National Council gave introductory remarks.
